Sustainable Network
The [ONE] coffee roaster is a member of a network of buyers and suppliers who attach ever more importance to corporate social responsibility (founding member 4C’s and affiliated with Ethical Tea Partnership).
The coffee roaster is in partnership with MVO Nederland (CSR Netherlands), affiliating Maas International with the initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs to stimulate opportunities for CSR both in and by the Netherlands. This initiative stems from an advisory report on 'the benefits of values' issued by the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (SER) in December 2000.
Only one standard applies to [ONE]: the highest standard .The high requirements set on the plantations where [ONE] coffee and tea are sourced of course also apply to their further stages of production. The production of [ONE] coffee and tea takes place in a BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Food Standard) certified roasting plant which uses only green, i.e. sustainable electricity. This green electricity is generated by hydroelectric power plants.
