Organic products
We made a deliberate decision to offer organically certified versions of certain products as part of the [ONE] concept. Organic products are as natural as possible, which is the best guarantee of pure flavour.
To keep the soil clean, only natural cultivation methods are applied and no herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used. Ground water and ditches stay clean, and vulnerable flora and fauna get every opportunity to thrive. No preservatives, artificial colourings, flavours or aromatic substances are added while these products are being processed. And actually, there is scientific evidence that organic agriculture is the most climate-friendly type of agriculture we know. Coffee vending machines
Maas International coffee vending machines, with their unique hot water and coffee-making systems, generate huge savings during their daily use as well as significant savings on the amount of coffee used per cup of coffee made. Studies into which coffee vending machines are the best for the environment reveal that annual power consumption can be decreased by 345 kWh per machine, which is equal to a decrease in CO2 emissions of 185 kg a year. This shows that major energy savings can be expected when implementing Maas coffee vending machines.
Service range
The [ONE] service range consists of sugar bags (the sugar is both Fairtrade and organically certified), wooden stirrers and environmentally-friendly coffee cups. The 100% environmentally friendly coffee cup is made entirely of renewable vegetable materials. The raw materials are sourced from nature and can return to nature. In short: 100% environmentally friendly which is the precise reason why Maas International has decided to obtain Cradle to Cradle certification for this coffee cup. In addition, the process used to produce the cardboard makes the minimum impact on the environment; the wood used is sourced from SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard) certified sustainable forestry assets.
Furthermore, the logo on the cup is printed using water-based ink, so that no harmful substances are brought into the environment. Maas International also takes responsibility for the waste flows generated on site by [ONE].
